The new collection Morakniv Classic knives is a tribute to the Swedish craft tradition that Morakniv has been a part of for over a century.
Morakniv Classic No. 1/0 with its characteristic red-stained and coil-shaped birch shaft is a versatile knife with a 77 mm long and 2 mm thick blade of carbon steel that is suitable for many different areas of use as well as for carving. The knife sheath in polished black polymer is clad in Dalavapnet and is complemented by a light belt strap in Swedish vegetable tanned leather.
The shaft geometry is smaller than that of the craft knives and therefore rests comfortably in slightly smaller hands. Morakniv Classic No. 1/0 is the smallest knife in the new collection.

This knife has been developed and refined for more than a century and used for generations by carpenters and craftsmen. The fact that they have been a hit with the users is often explained by the fact that the knives are nice to work with and have the right feeling. The red wooden handle is made of painted birch. The blade is made of carbon steel, which makes it easy to sharpen - just remember that it requires maintenance! Wipe it off and preferably oil it after use.
This knife cannot be used with spark steel
This knife is for construction and craft work. This means that we have prioritised a sharp and durable edge together with a firm grip, which means that the appearance of the blade back is not given as much space. If you use our building and craft knives in contexts other than those intended, remember that most of them have this unpolished blade back - it cannot be used with spark steel.
