Behind we see the newly built brewery house where the two young girls slept summer and winter. This is how Carl Larsson tells it in the book entitled “Ett hem om denna akvarel”. In the new brewery there are two small neat rooms with fireplaces. In the upper part - you can certainly see a glimpse between the frost-shimmering trees in the winter picture, where Brita is kicking - the maidens live both in summer and at Christmas time. In 1896, Karin mentions in a letter that the new brewery that is being built. It was not a house for beer brewing, but the name came from a Swedish play-on-words suggesting pertaining to the location of the house. The house was used as a bakery and laundry room, and in 1898 the pressing shed was added. On top of the bakery, a guest room was built where you could go via the external stairs.
