Våmhus baskets, braided by hand-split pine shavings. It is a further development of the sieve and sweep baskets of hand-split chips that have been manufactured in older times. The baskets are still manufactured in the same traditional way today with hand-cleaved and filed chips or “spjåkar” as they are called in Swedish.
