The book Oväsen i Älvdalen is the author Annika Andebark's first book in the series Eldarna. Upcoming books in the series carry the titles "Vrede" and "Tumult". The year is 1668. The little parish Älvdalen is on the brink of what will be Sweden's largest witch trials. It is whispered about sorceress women and soon the rumour spread like a wildfire that Gertrud has walked on water. After months of interrogation, Gertrud admits that she has gone to Blåkulla. It won't be long before more women are facing the same charges. If convicted, death awaits ... The noise in Älvdalen is based on historical facts and authentic memorial notes from the witch trials. The book is the first part of the series Eldarna, where Annika Andebark credibly portrays both sides of the processes and asks the question: How could it happen?
